Clearmark has recently teamed with Firman Consulting to provide Linux training to IT professionals. The Association of Computing Machinary asked Clearmark to provide its members with an Introduction to Linux Hands-On training class. Clearmark responded with a program that provided user with an action packed training program!

Confident in Linux ability to run on most any Intel hardware, the class starting with an overview of Linux, GNU, and Open Source, quickly followed by an complete clean installation of Linux. With a classroom full of PC with a variety of hardware componants (including some with dual video cards), we processed to successfully install in on every piece of hardware in the classroom.

The sessions progressed with students learning about processes, troubleshooting, runlevels, configurations, software and service installations, X Windows as well as many other Linux administrator tasks.
